Things to know:
 | The animations in H2 call for a slightly different attachment position
than previous animation sets. |
 | "Normal" attachments get adjusted and stay put. The
guitar moves to various positions (front, back, behind head). Each of
these positions may need to be adjusted separately. |
 | There are some tools in H2 to make this easy, especially if
you own multiple guitars. |
Adjusting your guitar: The Short Version
 | Many OD Guitars come 2 sizes in the box. Choose the one that best
fits you.
 | Kids: SMALL |
 | Most female avatars: MED |
 | Otherwise use the "normal" one (not labeled MED or SMALL) |
|
 | Wear OD>> H2 Main. Play one of the Gentle
animations on H2. Adjust your guitar. |
 | Teach your guitar its Front Position: Touch the
guitar. Find and click the TEACH FRONT button in the blue popup menu
depending on your guitar, you may need to click MORE a couple of
times to find the button. |
 | The BACK position can also be adjusted. Once you have it where
you like it, find the TEACH BACK button in the blue menus and click it. |
 | DONE. |

If you have multiple OD guitars you really should take the time to read the
following Step By Step. You will save a LOT of time in the long
run.
Step by Step: Adjusting your guitar
- Wear this HUD: OD>> H2 Adjust Guitar Position
- Choose the correct size guitar and wear it. Many OD
guitars com in multiple sizes. the normal one, MED, and SMALL.
MED is suitable for medium size avatars and a good number or female
avatars. SMALL is for kids.
- On the HUD start the animation Anim 1. This is the
basic strum and left hand position.
- On the HUD try the various Position buttons. These will
shift the guitar around and should get you to a position that is close and
just needs some tweaking.
- Once that looks good, touch the Anim 2 button. This shifts
the hand up higher on the neck. You may need a bit more
adjustment. The Anim 1/2 button switches between the two
animations automatically. When things look right, proceed to the next
step.
- Teach the guitar that this is the front position. Touch the
guitar. Find and click the TEACH FRONT button in the blue popup menu
depending on your guitar, you may need to click MORE a couple of
times to find the button.
- If you have one guitar... you are done. If you have lots.... read
on.. :)
- Now its time to store the guitar's position in the HUD.
 | v4.x guitars. Rez (or wear) the object OD>> Poll Guitar Position. |
 | v3.x guitars. Touch the guitar and find the ShowPos
button in the blue menus. Click it. |
 | You will get a chat message that looks something like: attachpos;<-0.14573, -0.09844, -0.15073>;<-0.13392, -0.06720, 0.24428, 0.95806>
. Do not panic :) open your chat history
window so you can highlight and copy that line starting with attachpos
and to the end of the line. |
 | |
Time to edit the _config notecard inside the HUD. Again... Do not
panic. :)
You still have the OD>> H2 Adjust Guitar Position
attached. Rigth click it. EDIT. Go
to the CONTENTS tab. If you can't see the CONTENTS tab click
MORE. Find the _config file in contents. Right
click it. EDIT.

Find the "===BTN;My Guitar Front"
part of the config file. The line below it looks
similar to the position information you saw in chat a few moments
ago. Remove the entire "attachpos" line you see in the
config file and replace it with the "attachpos" info you got in
chat. Copy and paste is the easiest way. :)
Leave the delay ; 4 line alone.
Close and save the _config notecard.
Close the edit dialog.
Click the OD Logo on the HUD. Choose RESET from the blue
menu. Wait till you get the message "DONE - READY".
Now when you wear any v3.x or v4.x OD guitar... hit the My Guitar button
on this HUD and the guitar will snap into position automatically and learn
this as its FRONT position.
If you have a cool BACK position you like... repeat the process and edit
the My Guitar Back section of the config notecard.
Depending on how "tweaky" you are, you may also find that you like
different positions for acoustic vs electric. In the config file,
copy and past to create another button on the HUD for acoustic as opposed to
electric.
